POWERING THE SYSTEM

Moving to Teletran 1, Ryan begins to key in a sequence of numbers. Thinking to himself "I sure hope these codes Mom left do the trick." "Access granted, All systems operational."

"Teletran, what can you tell me about my father and the rest of the Autobots?"

"One moment, searching memory banks……" After a short pause Teletran responds. "No information following the shutdown of this regions network available, initiating contact with Cybertron." After a long pause and several attempts Teletran 1 informs Ryan that contact cannot be established with any Autobot relay on Cybertron. After thinking for a moment, Ryan asks "Can you establish contact with moonbase one or two?"

"Commander Ryan, " Teletran 1 begins "I have attempted to locate any planetary beacons in Cybertronian orbit, but it appears that nothing in the vicinity of Cybertron is active." Beginning to get frustrated Ryan moves toward the communications array just as a loud pop is heard. Looking around the room one of the team members brings the attention to a failing energon converter. As the power seems to fade Teletran 1 informs Ryan that if power is not restored full system failure is imminent, all backup energon is depleted.

Knowing there is very little time, Ryan begins to run a system scan of the surrounding area. One of the men begin to question his actions. "sir is it really wise to use the remaining power to scan areas we have already explored?" "Watch and learn, " Grabbing his radio he calls out to General Stevens, "Dave, look to the left of the field command station, there should be a large cylindrical unit….. DO YOU HEAR ME!!" the general somewhat taken back by Ryan yelling out orders to him responds, "You know I outrank you right?" "Right now I don't care do you see the unit?" "This better be good for you to be talking to me….." "Answer my question we don't have much time." "yes its here!"

"Send the unit along with the power cell to the cutting laser as soon as the doorway opens" Grabbing the unit and power cell, four of the team members still outside run through the entry as it opens followed very closely by Stevens. As they enter the chamber where Ryan and the other men are Alarms are sounding and Teletrans systems are beginning to fail. Taking the unit Ryan begins to immediately rip apart the power cell and wire it in.

Stevens thinks to himself I sure hope you know what you're doing that's some very expensive equipment you are destroying. Ryan yells to everybody to stand back, as he powers the unit. The power unit begins to glow blue as the raw power from the cell passes into it. Suddenly the crackle of electricity turns to a steady hum as the blue color changes to the distinctive purple of energon as an stream begins to flow into the open junction on the failed energon converter.

As the energon streams into the system all alarms begin to shut of as teletran returns to full operation. As he relaxes Stevens approaches and asks, how did you know what to do? Thinking to himself, Ryan responds, you know I'm not really sure it just seemed the right thing to do, almost as if I was being told what needed to be done.

As every begins to regain their composure, a loud robotic voice comes from a dark corner in the back of the room. Impressive…. I guess there is more to you than meets the eye. Spinning around to see the glow of two Autobot optics moving from the shadows. Who's there Ryan asks, Identify your self. As a hulking form twice the size of Optimus Prime moves from the shadows, I am Alpha Sentinel the last of the Cybertronian guardians.
